The key elements of the system:
An electronic capsule, eCelsius Performance, ingestible and communicating.
The electronic capsule is delivered in unit package. Once activated, it communicates in real time, and continuously, the core body temperature data. The single-use eCelsius Performance electronic capsule is removed by natural way; it allows thus to collect the core body temperature over a period corresponding to the transit time (24-48 hours on average).
An activator
The activation box allows to take the eCelsius Performance electronic capsule out of standby mode; it allows to activate and associate it to the receiving device.
ePerf Connect
A “Gateway”, receiving and storing the temperature data collected by the electronic capsule. ePerf Connect may be worn as a wristwatch; it sends the data in real time (or a posteriori) to an Android application (ePerf Mobile), using Bluetooth (BLE) protocol. The data can thus be displayed on the screen of the Smartphone or Tablet; the csv file can be downloaded from the device at anytime.
eViewer Performance
A monitor, receiving and recording the data transmitted by the electronic capsule. eViewer Performance monitor only displays the last data data collected in real time. Through a wire connection (USB), data full access is provided thanks to a PC/MAC software (csv file) for archiving or scientific exploitation.

The temperature variable is a key indicator of the subject’s physiological status. The continuous nature of the measurement is quite difficult to obtain and only a few restrictive devices (rectal, esophageal probes, etc.) allow continuous core body temperature data collection.
